Bryan Haynes Dallas Business Litigation Attorney and Mediator

While pursuing my degree in Accounting at Baylor University, I became curious about the law while working part-time as the bookkeeper and gopher for a law firm in Waco. Deciding the law looked more fun than accounting, I applied to Baylor Law School in the middle of my senior year and was quickly invited to enroll in the upcoming summer session.

Graduating in the spring of 1991, I began my practice at Liddell, Sapp, a predecessor to Troutman Pepper Locke, LLP. Invited to become an equity partner in 2000, I continued my practice there until the opportunity arose in late 2009 to move to Scheef & Stone, LLP. I loved practicing at Scheef & Stone, but in January 2020, I had the opportunity to move my practice to the intellectual property boutique Klemchuk, LLP, where I could practice alongside one of my best friends. In late 2022, Sheef & Stone and I  agreed that I should move my practice back.

My early career focused primarily on business litigation, with a growing practice over the years on personal injury defense and insurance coverage litigation. With a broad base of practice areas and a desire to appear in the courtroom as often as possible, I have successfully tried numerous jury trials, bench trials, and final arbitration hearings, with more than fifty to date.

While never leaving my primary focus of commercial litigation, in the 90's I began working with a close friend and partner at Liddell, Sapp in a national trademark and trade secret litigation practice, allowing me to gain significant experience in those areas in courts across the U.S. With my move to Scheef & Stone in 2009, I discontinued personal injury defense work, keeping my focus on commercial and intellectual property litigation, and insurance coverage. My practice continues in these areas today.

In early 2021, I obtained my Mediator's Certificate and began offering my substantial litigation experience to help resolve the disputes of others. I also act as an arbitrator, primarily within my practice areas, including as a certified arbitrator with a Federal regulatory authority.

My ability to comprehend complex legal and factual issues, as well as my strong work ethic, is reflected in my extensive, successful experience. I am a very lighthearted and friendly individual, and my mediation style is characterized by active listening, directness when and with whom needed, and creativity. I will know as much about your case when the mediation starts as you provide me, and that I can access online.
